Begin 2019 by learning new or refreshing current editing skills!
Plain Language for Editors is a hands-on workshop to help you make your clients’ writing clearer and more readable. The benefit to your practice? Stronger stylistic and structural editing skills, broader offerings to clients, and writing tailored to your stakeholders. Specifically, you will assess your audience, edit to meet their needs, and estimate the document’s success at meeting those needs.
During her 30 years as an editorial consultant with Communications Nova Scotia, presenter and plain language specialist Nicole Watkins-Campbell has edited everything from bookmarks to non-fiction books, including government reports, not-for-profit annual reports, and website text. She has written speeches, backgrounders for legislation, and promotional copy for concerts and other events.
Editors Nova Scotia hope you can join us for this afternoon of mental exercise!
