Even experienced editors sometimes pause to check the punctuation rules. You’ll enjoy this refresher whether you have been editing for years or are just getting started. We’ll focus on the areas of most need as identified by you, the workshop participants, and then edit a few sentences together. Finally, we’ll look at intentional exceptions in published fiction and creative non-fiction.

Shelley specializes in editing fiction and started her own business in 2016, after working as a Hansard editor since 2007. Prior to that, she taught English to international undergraduate students and to Francophone military personnel. A professional development enthusiast, she often indulges in courses, webinars, and workshops and offers two of her own, through UNB’s College of Extended Learning.
