Kaitlin Littlechild
I am a member of Sweetgrass First Nation in Saskatchewan and currently reside in Oromocto, New Brunswick. I received my Master of Public Health from the University of Waterloo in 2011, a certificate in Addiction Studies from McMaster University in 2016 and a certificate in editing from Simon Fraser University in 2019. I also received a BSc(H) in biology from Queen’s University in 2007.

As an Indigenous editor, I provide culturally sensitive editing of Indigenous content. I understand the need to reflect Indigenous voices accurately, truthfully, and respectfully. My cultural upbringing allows me to view these works with the appropriate lenses of cultural sensitivity and cultural knowledge, and with an understanding of the unique narrative style. By engaging collaboratively with writers, I ensure that the final product respects Indigenous cultural protocols and values.

In addition to Indigenous content, I commonly edit (and occasionally write) in the areas of business communication, health, public health, biology, environmental issues, and marketing pieces of all types. I also provide sensitivity reading services.
