I am from BC’s southern interior but lived in the United Arab Emirates for two years. I’ve been in Fredericton since 1999. Before becoming a Hansard editor at New Brunswick’s Legislative Assembly, I taught English to speakers of other languages: international students and Francophone military personnel. In 2016, I started my business. Since then, I've edited and proofread novels, blog posts, recipes, travel guides, magazine articles, and Hansard manuscripts. I specialize in editing fiction.

I work primarily with publishers and self-published authors and offer the following services:

  • manuscript critiques
  • developmental editing
  • copy and stylistic editing
  • proofreading
  • coaching

If your project requires it, I have Government of Canada Secret (Level II) security clearance.

Since starting my business in 2016, I have taken dozens of editing courses, workshops, and webinars, to ensure that I can offer my clients high-quality work.

My educational qualifications include a certificate in publishing (Ryerson), a BA in English (UBC), an MEd (SFU), and a post-graduate diploma in applied linguistics and teaching English to speakers of other languages (University of Leicester).

In 2015, my copy editing instructor nominated me for the Rosemary Shipton Award for Excellence in Book Publishing.

Wherever you are in your writing process, I can help. Please get in touch so we can see whether we would be a good fit.
