I am from BC’s southern interior but lived in the United Arab Emirates for two years. I’ve been in Fredericton since 1999.
Before becoming a Hansard editor at New Brunswick’s Legislative Assembly, I taught English to speakers of other languages: international students and Francophone military personnel.
In 2016, I started my business. Since then, I’ve edited and proofread novels, blog posts, recipes, travel guides, magazine articles, and Hansard manuscripts.

Having a PhD in English from Cambridge and decades of experience, I am a careful reader and writer, equally attentive to precision and nuance in thought and expression. Words can be slippery. Writing can be fuzzy. Except in poetry and fiction, ambiguity can be tiring, if not downright irritating. As an editor, I approach all writing from the dual perspective of the author and the reader. I can help bridge the gap between authors and readers, refining the language to facilitate communication.
I’m an editor who specializes in non-fiction, such as books, blogs, articles, essays, and reviews. I mainly do copy and stylistic editing, but also offer authenticity reading, manuscript evaluation, and content writing services. My niche topics include literature, film, art, ecology/environment, and intersectional feminism/gender studies. My academic history reflects these interests, and I enjoy bringing chaos to order for businesses, organizations, publishers, and indie authors.
