I have a BA from Dal, majoring in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Classics. I am currently enrolled in SFU’s Certificate of Editing. I live in Halifax, use she/her pronouns, and am a bi ace member of the LGBT+ community.

I have a background in creative writing and journalism, with a BA from the University of King’s College and additional editing training completed through Ryerson University. I have a deep fondness for the imaginative elements of poetry and genre fiction, but I also relish the learning opportunities present in nonfiction projects (history books, memoirs, articles and more). I am from BC’s southern interior but lived in the United Arab Emirates for two years. I’ve been in Fredericton since 1999.

Before becoming a Hansard editor at New Brunswick’s Legislative Assembly, I taught English to speakers of other languages: international students and Francophone military personnel.

In 2016, I started my business. Since then, I’ve edited and proofread novels, blog posts, recipes, travel guides, magazine articles, and Hansard manuscripts.

I specialize in editing fiction.

I have a silver Atlantic Journalism Award for Best Magazine Article and have been a finalist for the Professional Writers Association of Canada’s Editor of the Year award. Contracts range from being associate editor for Ontario Dentist magazine to communications coordinator for a community-based fundraiser. Ultimately, all roles involve engaging story-telling.
